Will I will tell you of my loneliness
of how it’s pain is unbearable
Will I tell you how it hacks at my brain and
devours my thoughts
Will I tell you how it suffocates my soul
when I am most vulnerable
Will I tell you with my reason, how it teases
and cavorts
How it sits opposite me at the table
How it lies with me at night
How it greets me in the morning
The wanting is endless
The solitude is tedious
The sadness wells and breaks
against every heartbeat
This is my loneliness I eat with
This is my loneliness I sleep with
This is my loneliness I cry with
This is my loneliness
